An 8-day, 7-night tour through Luxor, a Nile cruise and Cairo. Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, the Giza pyramids and the Sphinx are on the route.
The tour starts at Luxor airport. The first night is in a Luxor hotel. After Karnak and Luxor temples you board the Nile cruise. The ship sails by Esna, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan. Those days cover the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Philae and the High Dam. On day 6 you fly to Cairo. In Cairo you see the Giza pyramids, the Sphinx, the Citadel, the Egyptian Museum and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. The tour ends at Cairo airport.

You are met at Luxor airport and taken to your hotel. There is no sightseeing and no meal on this day. The night is in Luxor.

You are picked up from the hotel. Karnak is one of the largest temple complexes ever built and is made up of three main temples. Luxor Temple was the setting of the Opet festival. Most of it was built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II. At the end of the tour you board the Nile cruise. The night is on board.

After breakfast you visit the Valley of the Kings, the burial place of Egypt’s rulers from the 18th to the 20th dynasty. The tombs of Ramses II and Tutankhamun are in this valley. Entry to a particular tomb can be a ticket sold separately. Hatshepsut’s temple is built on three levels, joined by two wide ramps. You return to the cruise. The ship sails to Esna, then to Edfu. The night is on board.

You visit Edfu Temple, one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman temples in Egypt. Its walls show Horus overcoming Seth. The ship then sails to Kom Ombo and you visit Kom Ombo Temple. You return to the ship and sail on toward Aswan. The night is on board.

After breakfast you visit Philae Temple and the Aswan High Dam. You return to the cruise. The night is on board.
